The application process to achieve the necessary approval can be very involved, time consuming and sometimes confusing.
The service being offered will be unique to the individual or company utilising this service and you can expect the following to be included in the fee as part of the service
On-site or virtual meetings to assist with the planning of Highways schemes/projects, in particular with reference to Traffic Management required and the type of permit or licence required
Acquisition of relevant documents and subsequent submission of road space booking application/notices in advance of works in order to secure the relevant permit
To act as point of contact to deal with queries from the local authorities and the Operations Team
Contact and inform Authority to confirm the “actual start date” and the “actual end date” as required by the issuing Highways Authority following consultation and discussion with the Operations Team
Liaising with Operations Teams to ensure any active job considered to be at risk of failing its completion date are escalated at the earliest opportunity with the issuing Authority to allow the situation to be effectively managed, extending permits if required/possible.
Follow the Streetworks notification processes as per Highways Authority guidelines and procedures.
Follow Noticing and Permit processes, using 3rd party sources and websites obtaining date certainty/options.
Assessing permit applications from Operations Staff to ensure all works are compliant with legislation and appropriate permit scheme conditions i.e., S50, S106
Managing requests for extensions/amendments required for notices/permits.
Communicating notice status to Operations Teams
Receiving and recording timely starts, stops, and register activities to avoid financial penalty.
